Skiing

Valley Ski Club

The Valley Ski Club is a non-profit club established in 1947 by a small group of skiers that loved skiing and wished to share that love with the greater community. The first hill was established at Heatherly Valley, near Castor, Alberta. In 1962 they relocated to the current location in the Battle River Valley near Alliance, AB.

The Valley Ski Hill remains a vibrant and fun place for people of all ages to come together and enjoy the sports of Skiing and Snowboarding. Our full-service lodge includes a kitchen, ample seating, playroom, snow school, office and Rental Shop.

Three clubs (Battle River Ski and Snowboard, Valley Alpine Ski Club (Nancy Greene) and Jumps and Bumps) offer great programming for kids to learn skills they will use their whole life long.

We are fortunate to have a dedicated and skilled group of Canadian Ski Patrol members who are always on hand to ensure the safety of our skiers.

Our Snow School boasts many CSIA and CASI certified instructors to help new skiers and boarders get their start. Most importantly we have a great Club (our season's pass holders) who still embody the spirit that started all of this so many years ago. They love skiing/boarding and they work hard to make sure that the Valley Ski Hill can continue to be a place that others can fall in love with too.
