Council's Strategic Plan 2026-2029 

On June 8, 2026, Council approved the Town of Castor Council’s 2026-2029 Strategic Plan as presented. Administration will commence work on actioning the plan.

The plan will be reviewed and updated by Council on an annual basis (Spring 2027, 2028, and 2029) to ensure its relevance and confirm Council’s priorities.

Strategic Planning Process

On November 10, 2025, Council directed Administration to proceed with the proposed approach and timeline for the development of the 2026-2029 Strategic Plan.

Starting in January 2026, Administration conducted research, and with Council’s input, developed and refined a draft strategic plan.

On March 9, 2026, Council received the Draft Strategic Plan 2026-2029 as information, approved the Engagement Plan for the 2026-2029 Strategic Plan, and set that the in-person small/focus group discussion activity on Council’s Draft Strategic Plan be scheduled for Monday, March 30, 2026 from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Golden Circle Building (4903 – 51 Street Castor).

Following the public survey (online and print) from March 16-31 and in-person small/focus group discussion activity on March 30, on April 27, 2026 Council received Council’s Draft Strategic Plan 2026-2029 What We Heard Report as information and moved that Council reviews the report and finalizes their Strategic Plan.
